Home Defense
A two-day course combining classroom planning and range practice to help students think through home security and defensive preparedness.
ABOUT THIS COURSE
Home Defense combines classroom instruction and range training to address protecting a home from break-ins, robberies, and home invasions.
DAY ONE: CLASSROOM
Topics include home-defense planning, weapon systems, security-system setup and monitoring, camera placement, and the effect of landscaping on security.
DAY TWO: RANGE TRAINING
Students practice using cover and concealment, shooting from different positions, and working within home-interior training scenarios.
ADVANCED OPTION
An advanced version incorporates force-on-force training. Contact Seven 4 Para to discuss suitability and availability.
DURATION

INSTRUCTION AND PREPARATION
The course is taught by a full-time law enforcement instructor with experience investigating break-ins and home invasions. Confirm prerequisite experience, equipment, ammunition, and dates before enrolling.
